Pediatric Chiropractic

Infant and children's muscular skeletal system is different from adults in some significant ways.  All bones start off as cartilage, but many are still cartilage at the time of birth. Cartilage turns into bone over time through a process called ossification. Therefore  different techniques for adjustments must be used with infants and young children. Common complaints we  treat  in infants and young children are  colic,  torticollis, otitis media, asthma, sleep issues and nursing dysfunction, The goal of treatment is to restore motion to the joints and balance the tissues to keep everything as bio-mechanically even as possible in addition to stimulating the immune system. Taking the tension off early in life can help allow for optimal growth and development.
