Spinal and Lumbar Decompression

Non-Surgical Spinal and Cervical Decompression

What is it?

Spinal decompression is a nonsurgical treatment option for people experiencing mild to moderate back pain. It works by gently stretching the spine which changes the force and position of the spine. This change takes pressure off the spinal disks, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result, bulging or herniated disks may retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine. This in turn, helps promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal.  Increasing circulation to the damaged disc, allows it to begin the natural healing process.

How Is It Done?

You are fully clothed during spinal decompression therapy. You will be  fit with a harness around your pelvis or head and another around your trunk. You either lie face down or face up on a computer-controlled table. The  computer runs,  customizing the treatment to your specific needs.  You will be given a button to stop the process at anytime it may become uncomfortable.
